So my wife and I are doing the whole Weight Watcher’s diet thing. Been okay so far. I get 40 points a day, the wife gets 21. Apparently men lose weight faster than women, which I was unaware of. But we’ve started it; this is day one. La dia prima.

Thug On a Moped

The wife and I were driving today down Mississippi Ave. We saw this dude, Thug Nasty, on a moped.

Musings

Sometimes I wonder if I should hang out with people at work more. They all have this special bond that I seem to not be a part of, mainly due to the fact that I keep my personal life separate from my work life. Well, mostly.

The Cobalt Fleece

Another day off. I can’t express how much they’re needed. It allows me to rest, to recoup from the work week. In my field, I take a lot of brunt from people, so the rest is very much needed.

Inconsiderations

Lately, I don’t sleep in. My job requires me to get up around 6:15 and to be at work by 8:00am. I’m okay with this. I usually get Friday & Saturday off (that’s a bit different this week) and I sleep in until about 8:00am. This morning I almost made it to 9:00am!

You know, I never thought I’d still be upset about a situation that happened months ago. I never really thought I took it to heart as much as I did seeing how it all happened on Facebook.

The End of a 12 Year Old Bet

When I flew into KC on Thursday I wasn’t sure if I was ready to come home. The last time I was within the city limits of Kirksville, MO, I had my new wife in tow and we had one of our three wedding receptions. We only stayed in town for three days before we drove up to MN and flew back to Denver.

Out With the Old

So many people make their New Year’s Resolution with the intent of following it for the entire year. Most don’t make it through January. Most don’t make it out of the first week. I, for one, almost don’t have a choice.
